Privacy

What happens to your information.

Short version: I collect nothing unless you send me a message, there is no advertising and no cross-site tracking, and there is no analytics on this site at all. The longer version is below, including the two third parties involved and exactly what is stored in your browser.

Last updated 3 August 2026 Controller: Murilo Reis, Cork City, Ireland

Who is responsible

This site belongs to Murilo Reis, trading as Murilo Reis, based in Cork City, Ireland. For anything on this page — including a request to see, correct or delete what I hold — email muriloarielreis@gmail.com. I am the data controller; there is no one else to escalate to.

When you send me a message

The contact forms ask for your name, email address and message, and optionally your role, which budget band fits and a rough timeline. I use those only to reply and to work out whether I can help.

The forms post to FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which forwards the submission to my inbox. That means your message passes through FormSubmit’s servers on the way to me — see their own privacy terms for what they do with it. The lawful basis is legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry I have been sent; if we go on to work together, the basis becomes performance of a contract.

I keep enquiry emails for as long as the conversation is live and for up to two years afterwards, so I can pick up a thread that goes quiet. Ask me to delete yours sooner and I will.

What is stored in your browser

No advertising or tracking cookies. Three values are written to your browser’s local storage, all of them so the site behaves the way you left it:

  • theme — whether you chose light or dark.
  • consent — your answer to the notice at the bottom of the screen, so you are not asked twice.
  • ix:view — whether you prefer the portfolio as a grid or a list.

None of these leaves your device, none identifies you, and none is readable by another site. Clearing your browser storage removes all three.

Analytics

There is none. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom, no heat-mapping, no pixels. I do not know which pages you read. The consent notice exists because I may add privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics later; if I do, it will be named here before it runs, and it will stay off unless you accept.

Third parties, and what each one sees

Who When What they receive
Google Fonts Every page load Your IP address and browser, because the Inter typeface is requested from Google’s servers
FormSubmit Only when you submit a form Everything you typed into that form
GitHub Pages Every page load Standard server-log data, including your IP, as the host of this site

Links out to GitHub, LinkedIn or a booking page only share anything once you click them. All three third parties above may process data outside the EU/EEA under the relevant transfer safeguards.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, ask me to restrict what I do with it, or object to it entirely. Email muriloarielreis@gmail.com and I will answer within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

Changes

If what the site does changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves. There is no version history — the current text is the whole policy.
